Formula & assumptions.

A planning estimate that starts with your entered landed cost; it does not recalculate import duties, tax or freight.

Calculation formula

Selling fee = Selling price × selling fee rate

Payment fee = Selling price × payment fee rate + fixed payment fee

Selling costs = selling fee + fulfillment + payment fee + other selling cost

Total cost = landed cost + selling costs

Profit = selling price − total cost

Margin = profit ÷ selling price

ROI on cost = profit ÷ total cost

Break-even price = fixed per-unit costs ÷ (1 − combined percentage fee rate)

Break-even markup = (break-even price − landed cost) ÷ landed cost

Quantity totals = each per-unit result × quantity

Planning assumptions

  • ROI here is calculated against total per-unit cost, including landed cost and entered selling costs. Under this simplified model, ROI on cost is equivalent to profit markup over total cost.
  • Break-even markup shows how far the break-even sale price sits above landed cost; it is not a price recommendation.
  • Currency is a display label only. No FX conversion is performed.
  • This is a planning estimate. Actual profitability may also depend on returns, refunds, advertising, storage, subscription fees, taxes, VAT, discounts, chargebacks, exchange rates and platform-specific fees.
  • This is not tax, accounting, investment or pricing advice.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before you sell.

Understand what this import profit calculator includes — and what remains outside this planning estimate.

Is this an import profit calculator?⌄

Yes. It estimates per-unit profit after your landed cost, selling fee, fulfillment cost, payment fee and other selling cost.

Does this calculate landed cost?⌄

What is the difference between margin and ROI?⌄

Profit margin is profit divided by selling price. ROI on total cost is profit divided by total per-unit cost.

Is this a pricing recommendation?⌄
